Marisa Johnson is an International Award-winning singer from Los Angeles, who has performed all over the world. She was chosen to sing with Andrea Bocelli in Las Vegas after she opened for Enrique Iglesias at the House of Blues. Applauded by Renee Fleming and having just completed a successful international tour, this award-winning artist has just released a brand new original classical song that is blowing up on the charts.
Marisa’s new single, “Your Time” climbed to the #1 Spot for Classical Single on iTunes for The Netherlands and #2 Classical Single on iTunes for the United Kingdom.
Marisa has performed all over Europe and has been featured in premiere opera houses such as Opera Las Vegas and world-class stages such as Dolby Theatre. Her debut album “My Own Way,” has already found great success in the US, UK, Germany, and worldwide.
Her many accolades include Female Vocalist of the Year, Kern County’s Most Talented Singer, Bakersfield’s Idol, Best in Classipop at the Best New Talent Awards, two Talent Awards at Miss California, the title of Miss San Fernando Valley, and Miss Palm Springs.
Marisa obtained her B.M. in Vocal Performance at the University of Southern California where she studied with Grammy-winning baritone Rod Gilfry. In addition to being a great singer, Marisa is also a SAG actress. She has starred in several commercials, films, and has been seen in many TV placements.
She has also been a member of the Young Artist Program for Opera Las Vegas and has performed lead roles in dozens of operas and musicals alike including The Medium, Incomplete Education, Phantom of the Opera, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, West Side Story, Carmen, Cosi Fan Tutte, and the new opera, America Tropical. Marisa also performed as Juliet in the World Premiere of the songs from Romeo & Juliet: Forever Love at the Dolby Theatre.
Marisa has performed her original music at many prestigious events and TV shows including at the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, RAW Las Vegas, The Will Edwards Show, Sandy Kastel Show, No Harm Done Charity CD, and the Las Vegas Smith Center.
